Quilt in Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King

MEMPHIS TENNESSEE
AFACME-LOCAL 1733

Dr. Dotty Heady created and donated this quilt in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King.  On October 18, 2019, the quilt was presented by Dr. Renee Campbell and Dr. Heady in Memphis,Tennessee to the Local AFSCME Union-1733, in front of two of the original sanitation workers that were present during Dr. King's last speech in 1968.  The presentation culmulated with a luncheon and words from the director, Ms. Gail Tyree of AFSCME-Local 1733, and other civil rights advocates.  It was an honor to be a part of honoring such a humanitarian.
